Had a so so sleep wakein & fallin back 2 sleep @ 3am ~ 5am ~ 7am. Up & @ 'em @ 8am.

Finally got on2 Dominic, a very good friend of me foster dad Francis Thomet, who lives in the Maitland area where the floodin waz/iz. He waz one of the 5,000 evacuated & may B again...

Said he spoke 2 Rosa (me foster Dad's wife) & she izn't copein 2 well with the loss of him. When the times R right 4 here in Oz & ova in Switzerland I'm gonna ring, prob 'round 8ish.

He waz in Oz az he did every year 4 our summa's & away from the Swiss winta's. Afta hiz visit here they went down Bendigo way then up 2 me fosta sista Ruthellen's in Qld. Woke up one mornin & couldn't walk. Went in2 hospital then tranfered down 2 the Royal North Shore hospital where he hoped 2 get well enough 2 B able 2 fly back home 2 Switzerland.

I screamed & screamed out loud with anger afta hangin up from Rosa when she rang jus afta 2pm, Saurday 14th April 2 say he'd passed away.

He waz such a top bloke. Sooooo carein, happy go lucky (nuthin eva seemed 2 faze him), had a wicked sense of humor, heart of gold, very knowledgeable (I luved listenin 2 him & hubby's convo's ‘bout all sorts of thingst. Now & then askin Q's & addin me 2 bobs worth).

On hiz '06 visit he told me & hubby that hiz 1st visit with us afta we'd packed up & moved out this way in the 70's waz 2 take me back 2 Sydney, cause he thought I waz throwin me life away & that there waz no future 4 me out @ Bogan Gate with someone he knew nuttin ‘bout. Said afta he saw the luv we had 4 each other he couldn't do it. I waz where I waz meant 2 B.

The day afta he got here in '06, I waz sittin @ me ‘puter in the loungroom & he came ova spead hiz map on the floor & said **Y don't we take a slow drive ova 2 Junee on Friday, spend the night in a hotel & go C Phillip @ the jail on the Saturday** I waz bouncin off the walls. We hadn't C'n our son since he went on the run in ‘04. We also hadn't visited him B'cause there iz no way I could do the trip ova and back in a day & evreetime we had the $$$$'s something else came up. Me & hubby really really needed 2 C him. Plus I think he needed 2 C me in person and C how well I waz going. He waz worried I waz gonna up & cark it B4 he got out. It waz awesome 2 C and hold him afta such a long time. We truly can't thank U enough 4 that Francis.

I'm happy that the last time we spoke it waz ‘bout the birth of our granson Gage & hiz very last words were **How iz Phillip** then he broke in2 French, afta that I only spoke 2 Rosa. She only speaks a little English & waz by herself 4 a while then Ruthellen came down 4 a week or so. I waz sooooo relieved when Rosa's son Claude flew in. She showed sooooo much strength through it all GOD BLESS HER...

I recently confessed 2 me family that I've bean ringin hiz Oz mobile number jus 2 hear hiz voice. It alwayz puts a smile on me dial & mellows me out az I listen 2 him & look @ the pic of him & Rosa that's below.

There waz no funeral, he donated hiz body 2 a research. mob down Wollongong way.

Hiz birthday waz on the Tuesday afta hiz passin the 17th April. Me, hubby, our son Phillip, hiz luv Sara & Gage all went 2 the daught Noni's 4 dinna with her hubby Lukie & their kiddies Nicayden & Jazlyn. We had fish hiz fav food. Wazn't the Barramundi he would usually order when eatin out but a mass of fish fingers. Drank & toasted him with red wine & beer, hiz fav drinks. Mud cake, Nicaydens fav with one candle & sang 4 he's a jolly good fellow.

Noni, Lukie, Nicayden & Jazlyn planted a rose bush 4 him.

Hiz son, me fosta bro Cesar ova in Mudgee along with me fosta mum Rosemarie (hiz X) planted a tree. Last time I spoke 2 Ro 'bout him she said that Ruthellen didn't - wouldn't - couldn't talk ‘bout it... Evree now & then I'll get sooky la la...

Oh one last thing, evreetime I hear any of the songs off  Neil Diamonds Hot Auguast Night album it reminds me of him. When him & Rosemarie were seperated, he waz livin with a cupla blokes @ Northbridge. I rang him from home (Prince Alfred Pde, Newport), & in the background it waz playin. I fell in luv with it straight away. He pumped it up 4 me while he waz getting ready 4 work.
