Hubby & I had the bestest sleep last night. Don't know wat time he woke but my eyes didn't open till jus B4 ten. I luv it when I wake later than him, cause he'll come in with hiz cuppa, sit next 2 me on the bed & we'll have these wundaful convo's.
Got a phone call from someone I considered a friend... Grrrrr... honestly SOME PEOPLE, give 'em an inch & they'll wanna take a mile. I'm so glad I've learned how 2 say NO...
In me travels 4 that PROGRAM I still haven't found, I found some old Outlook Xpress addy books & got totally side tracked 4 ages re-enterin names & addys.
On Wednesday arvo with Jaz & Nic onboard we made it out 2 the Airport with time 2 spare & gave Pete the Rainbow slippers 4 Gabby. Must ring hiz mum, Barb 2 C how he got on. Will also havta pull me finger out & pop out 2 Bogan Gate 2 C her. She'll miss him dearly.
I really don't know wat I'd of done without her back in 1991 when me Dadda waz dyin from cancer @ Cowra Hosiptal & we found out me nephew **Shane John Holmes nicknmaed Itchy who now lives in Muswellbrook** had Sexually Abused our darlin daught Noni, then aged 9. Yeah back then when hubby waz @ work I'd drop Noni & Phillip off @ Bogan Gate Public School ‘round 8.30am. Go park in the sun near the local shop, pig out on a aussie meat pie, washed down with a chocolate Moove while readin the newspaper, then go 2 Barbs. Afta we'd had a cuppa I'd follow Barb 'round az she fed & watered her horses. Then back inside chattin, watchin telly. Me tears would flow on & off & we'd have many a silent times that were comfortable. I'd leave when I felt right, sometimes B4 the kids got outta school & sometimes afta.
U know U CAN'T PICK ‘EM these monsters who do unthinkable things 2 the innocents of this world.
Bein a victim of sexual abuse by our older brother Johnny & one other time by a gubbah (white fellah), I neva in a million years thought a child of mine would also B one...

Time line of wat happened...
Friday 1st February 1991 - Took Noni & Phillip 2 C the School Dentist in Forbes. Met Kate (older sibling), Butch (her husband), Joanne (one of their daughters) & **Shane John Holmes nicknamed Itchy who now lives in Muswellbrook** (their son) They followed us home & stayed the night. They'd come 2 tell us ‘bout Dadda's cancer & him only havin months 2 live. They left early Saturday mornin.
Saturday 23rd March - The mornin B4 Noni's 10th birthday we were told that kids would not B allowed in 2 C Dadda anymore. Evreebodee else had left 4 the hospital. **Shane John Holmes nicknamed Itchy who now lives in Muswellbrook** waz stayin home @ Billamarie & we asked him **Shane John Holmes nicknamed Itchy who now lives in Muswellbrook** 2 look afta Noni & Phillip. I waz havin a hard time gettin Noni motivated 2 wake up, eat brekky & have a shower. Hubby, Phillip & **Shane John Holmes nicknamed Itchy who now lives in Muswellbrook** were outside target shootin with a 22 rifle. When Noni came outta the shower, stood in the corner of the dinein room, shakein & said ***NO MUM NOT SHANE*** I knew right away wat she waz gonna say next. Az I went 2 her & grabbed her our tears flowed down while I screamed & screamed, out loud. Hubby came runnin in with the rifle in hiz hands, followed by **Shane John Holmes nicknamed Itchy who now lives in Muswellbrook** then Phillip. I told hubby what Noni had said & he **Shane John Holmes nicknamed Itchy who now lives in Muswellbrook** said, No no Aunty Lyn I didn't, I didn't do it, it wazn't me. When Noni said it happened the night they stayed when they came ova 2 Bogan Gate 2 tell us ‘bout Dadda's cancer in February he **Shane John Holmes nicknamed Itchy who now lives in Muswellbrook** tried 2 blame it on Mickey Do who'd come on other visits but not that one. We cleared out our stuff from the house & headed in2 town. Went 2 the hospital, told me bro Dennis. We were sorta on auto-pilot goin through the motions. We stayed the night @ me older sis Pams & durin the night we went 2 the pay-phone on the highway & rang a 1800 Sexual Abuse help line.Sunday 24th March 1991 - Me last words 2 Dadda were a lie. I told him hubby had B'n called back 2 work so we hadta leave. We came back home 2 Bogan Gate, stoppin @ Forbes Hospital 2 got a cupla Valium till I could C me Dr.
Monday25th March - Went in & saw Constable Danieletto @ Bogan Gate Police Station.
Thursday 11th April - Me, hubby & Noni made STATEMENTS in matter of: Sexual Assault of Noni Kirk @ Family & Community Services, Mudgee 2 Belinda Edmundson. Reason 4 Mudgee waz we had earlier taken Noni 2 stay with me foster mum Rosemarie. I wanted 2 get Noni outta our home of sorrow & where it had happened, plus I needed 2 process it all in this head of mine. I knew she wood B well looked afta, luved & spoiled by Rosemarie.
Sunday 21st April 1991 - Got the call 2 say Dadda had passed away.
Friday 26th April 1991 - Dadda's funeral in Gulargambone.
It wazn't till January 1994 that we got THIS a letter from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
The reason 4 the delay waz everee time we got wind of where he waz holed up hiz mum Kate would swoop in & move him on.
1994 we finally had our day in court. We neva went back in2 court afta we'd bean on the stand. Jus told ‘em 2 ring us @ home with the outcome, which waz guilty & he only got 300 community hours.
Hubby said it wooda B'n sooooo easy 2 shoot him **Shane John Holmes nicknamed Itchy who now lives in Muswellbrook** that mornin but the thought of himself bein in jail with me & the kids bein alone stopped him.
I can't believe now that back B4 we found out, I considered him **Shane John Holmes nicknamed Itchy who now lives in Muswellbrook** son of Kate (an older sibling) & Butch Holmes az one of me fav nephews.

Can't believe what some people said & their reactions when we told 'em ‘bout it,
The **Oh I thougth U knew, he **Shane John Holmes nicknamed Itchy who now lives in Muswellbrook** haz done it B4 REALLY REALLY floored me. 1st heard those words outta me oldest bro Dennis's mouth. Afta Dadda died I neva spoke 2 or saw Dennis til afta 1996-97
Me lil sis Monica cried & cried az she told me ‘bout her son B'n one of the **Chosen Ones**az the daught Noni says... poor ole Mon waz a lost soul & jus wazn't strong enough 2 stand up 2 Kate. RIP lil sis...
Me other lil sis Coral heard ‘bout him **Shane John Holmes nicknamed Itchy who now lives in Muswellbrook** doin somethin 2 a toddler jus up the road from her, when she waz livin with John in Logan St, Cowra. She dragged him **Shane John Holmes nicknamed Itchy who now lives in Muswellbrook** by the ear, all the way 2 the Police station. He waz neva charged ‘cause the **Chosen One** couldn't speak... @ that time & when it happened 2 Monica's boy Coral waz fightin her own demons & honestly thought I knew. She waz the only one I kept in touch with afta Dadda's funeral.
One of hubby's nephews who stayed with us on the farm in the 90's told us that when he waz baby sat @ Kate & Butche's in the late 70's that **Shane John Holmes nicknamed Itchy who now lives in Muswellbrook** had done things 2 him then...
A male person actually said 2 hubby **Well she iz a pretty girl**...
Cuple opened up ‘bout their own abuse...
Then there were the one's that jus didn't want 2 know- couldn't handle it & disappeared outta our lives
& the ones who said not 2 do anythin ‘bout it... let sleepin dogs lie... move on... Pfft, az yeenar69 sayz...
Durin those years from go 2 whoa we had a lotta counsellin az a family & individually. That helped us no end in comin 2 terms with wat happened & allowin us 2 live a some wat normal life 2 this day. Done through our local Community Health Centre @ Parkes Hospital.
Remember the name peoples **Shane John Holmes nicknamed itchy who now lives in Muswellbrook** cause I have no doubt in me mind that he iz still doin it 2day...
Darlin U don't know how much I admire U're strength, courage & the way U handle things. Thank U 4 givin me permission 2 finally put this out there.
Oh & darlin GOD BLESS U 4 keepin it 2 yaself cause U didn't want 2 upset me anymore than I waz.

Az 4 my abuses, When I waz fostered out I waz able 2 block out wat Johnny did. I did the same later on afta the one incident with the gubbah (white fellah). One day in our flat in Mona Vale hubby did somethin & it ALL came out. When tryin 2 deal with wat Johnny did, I get 2 a point where I can actually smell hiz sweat & I almost pass out & wanna vomit. So I jus don't go there. The fact that he iz dead now & not hurtin any **Chosen Ones** eases the need 2 confront it all. Wat the gubbah did, only me family know 'bout. I want 2 tell those who know him BUT don't wanna hurt 'em, am worried 'bout wat he'll do & say. I'm also scared... scared of him & scared that no-one will believe me. Jus scared scared scared. I WILL get there one day...
